If you want to know what the heck is this ‘Sleep Awareness’ is about? Well to tell you, 'Sleep Awareness’ programme’s main objective is to create highlight about sleep disorders and its symptoms for which our Bolywood siren Vidya Balan is ready to sport out for people's welfare.
 
Vidya has signed in as a brand ambassador for the Sleep Awareness month of March, in which the public will come to know about the  symptoms of sleep disorders and how ignorance about it can create grievous health problems.
 
This factor is highlighted in relevant to increasing cases of sleep disorders, which occurs due to cranky lifestyle of urban areas. As per to an experts reports one in every three Indians suffer from insomnia or certain ailments related to sleep disorder.
 
Getting a good night's sleep is as important as having your daily dose of vitamins according to Vidya. Reflecting more light on to it she stated,"In our busy lives, we do not pay much attention to sleep or the lack of it. Getting a good night's sleep is as important as having your daily dose of vitamins. In case you are facing irregular sleep habits, it is important to approach your local doctor for a check-up.”
 

The sleep awareness month will spread awareness in association with Indian Sleep Disorders Association (ISDA) and pharmaceutical company Abbott India by creating camps in various places which will be directed under healthcare professional expertise.

This camp will start in urban areas, concerning mainly the metro areas and to smaller cities. Already the operation has taken place and one camp has set up at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital.
 
Hectic life is the prime cause of sleep disorders, president of Indian Sleep Disorders Association J.C. Suri informed, "The importance of sleep can be seen from the fact that people spend about one-third of their lifespan sleeping. However, increasing competition at the workplace, hectic lifestyle and stress have resulted in a higher incidence of sleep-related disorders, especially among urban Indians."

It is a treatable and to make people understand about it is the main mission of the organization, Suri added, "It is important to create awareness about sleep disorders so that people recognise not only the symptoms but also understand that it is a treatable condition.”

This beauty queen Vidya really needs good sleep for herself to keep her glowing image and by this move she can well benefit herself in much better way.
