Anne Hathaway will be seen as the Catwoman in the new Batman movie.The actress nabbed the role of Selina Kyle leaving behing other Hollywood A-listers in the race- Charlize Theron, Kate Beckinsale and Sienna Miller.
The announcement of the casting for the superhero series of Christopher Nolan ‘The Dark Knight Rises ‘ was made by Warner Bros. on Wednesday. Hathaway will star opposite to Christian Bale who will play Bruce Wayne and Batman.
They also announced the Inception star Tom Hardy will portray role of Bane who is one of the enemies of Batman. The flick will hit screens on July 20, 2012.
Hathaway as of now is all set to co-host the Oscars with James Franco on Feb. 27. The lady had been an Oscar nominee for the 2008 flick ‘Rachel Getting Married’.
