Those who are seriously interested in photography or were gifted with the vision that most others only gather with experience, know that nothing beats shooting with an SLR camera. Even though many of them may not possess the resources to own a professional camera, they secretly wish someone would gift them an SLR. Then came a whole range of entry level SLRs and the wishes of many such enthusiasts got fulfilled. The Nikon D3000 is such an entry level SLR, with a resolution of 10.2 and impressive features.

Design and Functioning

Sturdy and yet rather lightweight for a DSLR, the Nikon D3000 turns out to be a first time SLR buyer’s delight. It’s made out of the same magnesium alloy body that DSLRs pride themselves with. Its ISO ratings range from 100 to 1600 though it can be extended upto a maximum of 3200 to shoot better in low lighting conditions. Like many of Nikon’s best SLRs it comes with an Image Sensor Cleaning system which makes the camera capable of cleaning the sensor of any dust or foreign matter. This camera gives a lot of scope for the user to edit or retouch his or her pictures using Monochrome and Filters, Trimming, Red eye reduction, Image Overlay and other effects. It is compatible with SD/SDHC cards for storage, and sometimes even the Compact Flash card.

It comes with An Eye cup, A Neck strap, A Battery charger, A Body cap ,  Lens cap and  A Shoe cap.
