The Canon EOS 7D is definitely a choice for those who take image quality and composition very seriously. Why else should Canon incorporate an Intelligent Electric Viewfinder (EVF) with coverage of 100% and a magnification of 1.0x, than to aid in composition better? This 18 mp camera makes up for an interesting buy, and comes with improved ergonomics as compared to its predecessor, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Design and Functioning

Though the body of the Canon EOS 7D is similar in design with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, it does come with a few significant ergonomic improvements, the most notable being the its improved grip for the right hand. It comes with the APS-C size CMOS sensor and Dual DIGIC 4 Image Processors, capturing large sized images at speeds of 8 frames per second. Its ISO settings can be extended to a maximum of 12800 to help take better pictures at night and dimly sit conditions. This camera also comes with the Intelligent Viewfinder, which features 100% coverage and 1.0x magnification so as to help compose better pictures. It is compatible with Compact Flash as well as SD/SDHC cards for storage.
