Pitt also says that back in the year 2007, he felt that he it became obligatory for him to raise help. He even launched a project called ‘Make It Right’, in the project 34 eco-friendly homes were built and the number has been raised till 150.
He adds further, “I mean, people build their lives here. And -- and -- I mean, New Orleans is a unique place to begin with. And I say -- a cultural treasure trove for -- for America to begin with.”
“But the thing that struck me was that these people were trying to -- you know, these people were trying to get home. And -- and were having a very difficult time doing so.”
Other celebrities like faith Hill also performed a free concert to help raise money to rebuild more houses. The contribution of the Hollywood celebrities towards re-establishing the place has been phenomenal.
