Aamir flew to Leh today to visit the flood ravaged school, where the shooting of last smashing hit ‘3-idiots’ took place. He says that he has come to the school for bringing back the smiles.

Aamir kept his promise and willingly visited the Leh School called ‘The Druk White Lotus School’, where the shooting of‘3-Idiots’ took place. The school is safe, but everyone is under an emotional trauma and Aamir is in the place to bring back the smiles.
 
Aamir adds, “I am here to be with the students because I was told that they are in a state of shock. Nature can be real cruel sometimes but luckily, there were no casualties in the school but they are under emotional trauma. I will try my best to bring back their smiles.”
 
The Leh cloud-burst incident took more than 200 lives and hundreds are lost. There is severe damage to life and property, but luckily there have been no causalities to the school.
 
The actor is also planning to organize a fund-raising campaign to rehabilitate the victims and he has appealed to the nation to support the needy people.
 
He further adds, "I am here to see what kind of assistance they need, so that we can help raise the money. Apart from my personal contribution, we all have to contribute as a country because it is a huge tragedy. The country should reach out to the people of Leh in these testing times.”
 
The school which the actor visited is located about 15 kms from Leh-Manali highway and it is run under the supervision of spiritual leader Gyalwang Drukpa.
