Samsung will update the Samsung Wave S8500 smartphone with Bada 1.2 operating system, according to Samsung’s official twitter account.
 
The electronic appliances major may upgrade the Wave model with the Bada 1.2 OS in early 2011, according to the Samsung’s twitter statement. However, it did not disclose any information regarding updating for other models. Thus people living in Europe will get the new operating system update.
 
Samsung’s first operating system for smartphone phones was Bada 1.0. Soon after this, the company had launched Samsung Bada 1.0.2, which came with minor changes. The modified version was launched targeting the European market.
 
The Samsung Wave S8500 smartphone was launched in June 2010 with Bada operating system- version 1.0. The Wave model was touch-screen smartphone that comes with Super AMOLED technology, a 5 mega pixels that supports 2560 x 1920 resolution, and HD recording with 1280 x 720 resolution at 30 FPS.
