Prakash Jha has received a letter from a Congress party worker from Mumbai who have warned Jha from portraying the Gandhi family in a negative shade in his latest flick “Rajneeti” starring Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor.

This, apparently, is not the only warning Jha has received but is the first of a number of similar such warnings that the filmmaker has received. Jha feels that these are mere stunts performed by party workers to draw the attention of their superiors in the party and to please them and hence decides not to name them. He feels that the best way to deal with them is to deprive them of the publicity they want.

He says, “Why give such people importance? Please don’t mention his name. I simply don’t react. When I got the letter from the party worker, who shall go unnamed, I read it and tore it up. And, I called up the gentleman and said, 'If you think I’m going to respond in writing to your letter so that you can get mileage and publicity out of it then you’re mistaken. I want to thank you for your concern. But I’ve nothing to say to you'.”

The filmmaker says he will not entertain the wishes of such publicity hungry party workers and says, “If the Congress high-command has doubts about the content of my film, they’re most welcome to watch it when I’m ready to show it to them. Before that, there’s nothing to be said to anyone.”
