According to sources, the price of Nintendo 3DS, which is slated for release in this month, has been reduced by a retailer to only 187 Pound Sterling. With just days left for its official release, Morrisons has announced the price reduction, sources said.

Accordingly, the price of the device has been brought down to 187 Pounds from its earlier price of 230 Pounds. The price is even lesser than the price offered by Amazon, UK. But, buyers will have to shell out 10 Pounds as deposit money for buying the 3DS device.

And the last date for the offer is 31st March. Intense competition in the gaming industry and among retailers has forced the retailer to slash its retail sale price. Now the question is will Amazon react to this by cutting the price of Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo 3DS was first unveiled on February 26, 2011. The device is scheduled to be released for sale in Europe, Australia, US and other major markets.

In Europe, the device would be launched for 25,000 Yen, while in the US the device will be sold for $249.99 and in Australia, it would be sold for AUD $349.95.
