Sony Cybershot DSC-W370

Cameras come and cameras go. Some fly off the shelf and some are left behind in the race for consumers. Some shine out by their sheer freshness while others cash in on the brand name. A few lucky ones, on the other hand, can boast of both a brand name as well as some features that make them stand out. They enjoy both the trust of the consumer as well as their awe. The Sony Cybershot DSC W370 is one such camera that does better than expectation. This is a 14.1 mp and 7x zoom camera, which comes with amny advanced features.

Design and Functioning

You win some but then you lose some too. After all, each camera cannot deliver everything that one can think of. So if the Sony Cybershot DSC W370 gives a wonderful slim shape, easy grip on the right side (which most other slim cameras do not provide) and sophisticated colours like Deep Green, Gun Metal Grey and Wine Red, why complain of its weight? In its Sweep Panorama mode, all the user needs to do is press the shutter release and sweep it in the desired direction; the camera continuously shoots at a high speed, then seamlessly stitches the images together with automatic position adjustment to create one stunning panoramic image. Its Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode automatically detects eight different types of scenes and the appropriate camera settings: Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Twilight using a tripod, Portrait, Landscape, and Macro. In Advanced Mode of the same function, the camera takes a photo with the optimal settings and, if in difficult lighting immediately takes a second photo with another optimized setting so that the user knows which one to keep. Optical SteadyShot image stabilization uses a built-in gyro sensor to detect camera shake and automatically compensates to help prevent blur without sacrificing image quality. This camera contains about 19MB of internal memory and is compatible with Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo (High Speed) or even SD/SDHC cards.
