Though sturdy and touch, with a magnesium alloy body which any good DSLR will boast of, Nikon DSLR D5000 weighs hardly half a kilogram, lighter than one of its predecessors, Nikon DSLR D90, which was touted as rather bulky. One of the features that renders its user friendliness is the swivel or tilt LCD screen which can be rotated to suit the needs of the user. This camera comes with the Image Sensor Cleaning technology that allows the user to press just one button to clean the dust particles on the CMOS sensor. It also offers shutter speeds ranging from a minimum of 30 seconds to a maximum of 1/4000th of a second. Its Advanced Scene shooting modes also include Autumn Colours, High Key, Low key, Silhouette, Dawn/Dusk apart from the normal Night Landscape, Portrait, Party, Pet Portrait and so on. It is compatible with SD and SDHC cards for storage.
