The latest gaming console Sony PlayStation 3 Slim has been launched in India. It is different from the earlier ones as it offers free copies of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune software along with the latest console.
PlayStation 3 Slim sports a 45nm cell processor as compared to the normal PS3’s 60nm processor. Again, the new PS3 Slim is 33 percent smaller, 36 percent lighter than other PS3 models. Interestingly, the new set can be used horizontally. The set also consumes less power than the normal models.
PlayStation 3 Slim is the lighter version of the PS3 model and comes with 120GB hard disc. The drive has been placed in the front for easy access to the user.
The other features in this PlayStation 3 Slim model include, Bluetooth, built-in Wi-Fi and Blu-ray Discs playback support. However, the earlier games like PlayStation 2 Games cannot be played on this Slim set. The Linux OS option has been removed from the PS3 Slim by Sony.
The Sony PlayStation 3 Slim gaming console is available for Rs 19,990.
