It is reported that, LG has aimed at introducing its oPhone based LG GW880 handsets in the Chinese markets soon. The customized Android version of the handset is the second set in the Android series after the LG GW620 set.

China Mobile has been roped in to distribute the latest Android based set to the customers. Earlier, the company had disclosed its ambition of releasing a new customized set within three months.

The LG GW880 set sports a 3.5-inch WVGA display and a 5-megapixel camera. It also supports GPS but it doesn’t have a physical keyboard with it. The handset is compatible with the Chinese 3G standard, TD-SCDMA.

It is expected that, the new LG GW880 phones will grab a significant market share like the other customized phone LG GW620. The LG GW620 set called Etna had been released in some selected markets a few weeks ago.

LG may release the latest Android set in the end of November. However, the detailed specifications including the price are yet to come.
