Sonam Kapoor Named As The Brand Ambassador of 'Flight of Joy'  Sonam Kapoor |
Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor is named as the brand ambassador for fund raising event 'Flight of Joy' which is organized by NGO Khushii. During the event, NGO Khushii will spread awareness about various causes like health care and child welfare, Sonam Kapoor said that she was "just the face" of the cause and everyone should do their bit.
Sonam Kapoor said, "I am honoured to be associated with NGO Khushii (for the fund raising event 'Flight of Joy') and I appreciate the work they are doing for the welfare of people in different fields. I believe each one of us should come forward and support this event”.
The actress added, "It is not just about me, it is about everyone. No matter how much you contribute, but you all should contribute. I am just a face and can appeal to everyone to do their bit. It has to be a collective effort and we all should chip in”.
The event was also attended by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni. "A moment of giving is much greater than a moment of receiving”, Ambika Soni said.
The fund raising event will commence during the 'Joy of Giving' week from Sep 27-Oct 2. During this event the NGO will spread awareness about various causes related to women, child welfare, health care, primary education, animals and environment. It will also give financial aid to other NGOs who are unable to raise funds for their organisations.
