The slim, tall and the lovely actress, Sonali Bendre has been totally missing from the silver screen ever since she got married. Now, she thinks that acting requires commitment and she isn't ready.

 

Although, Sonali Bendre is married to Goldie Behl, a filmmaker, but she has undergone a drastic change in terms of her career in the Bollywood industry. She is almost an extinct name now, in spite of having a filmmaker husband.

 

But, Goldie wants Sonali to return to the big screen and also thinks it is the perfect time for it now, as the scenario is changed and it has become more comprehensive.

 

Sonali adds, “Goldie thinks that I should be acting now... he thinks the kind of cinema that is being made today is what I used to do when I was active in Bollywood. .”

 

 

She further adds, “You know, I think you are making a mistake. You should be doing movies now, lot of interesting things are happening and you fit right in them'. Even my mother-in-law keeps telling me the same thing.”

 

 

But, in spite of a good family support, she thinks that she can’t give the required commitment to the silver screen right now.

 

Sonali is 35 years old and she has enacted in movies like, Major Saab, Sarfarosh, Zakhm, Hum Saath Saath Hain and Humara Dil Aapke Pass Hai.

 

 

Sonali adds, “Well I agree the roles and the kind of scripts that are being made today are my type, but I have my own opinion. I follow my thinking and don't get swayed so easily. I don't think I'm ready for films because it takes a lot of commitment. I'm not ready for that kind of commitment.”


Now, she has mostly turned her attention to the small screen and she will be seen judging the second season episodes of ‘India’s Got Talent’ with Kirron Kher and Sajid Khan.
