Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz has got engaged to her actor beau Javier Bardem, Reports also claim that they have plans for entering the wedlock soon.
The Oscar-winning couple, who had maintained a low-key relationship, have now disclosed to their friends about the engagements. "They're telling friends they will get married," says a friend, who heard the news directly from one of them.
The speculation of the engagement had been rife since April. Cruz had even sparked off pregnancy rumours after she was seen leaving an OB/GYN clinic in Madrid in September.
"They say the pregnancy stories aren't true," says another friend. The actress, who won an Oscar this year for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Woody Allen's 'Vicky, Christina, Barcelona', had during an interview mentioned that she does not believe in marriages.
"I don't know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children. When I [have children], I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life," the actress had said.
