'Chatur’ alias Omi Vaidya will be seen having fun on the stage of a new reality show on Star Plus called ‘Chote Ustad’. He has 2 more films in the pipeline and he says that by hosting a show one can get connected to the audience immediately.

He is very excited about hosting the show and he cheerfully adds, “You will see more of the real Omi. I will bring my chaste Hindi along with me. I will be impromptu on stage. I am going to have fun with the judges. That's my promise.”

Omi is not very good at Hindi and since he is going to host a musical program based on Hindi language, he is taking Hindi diction lessons now-a-days.

Omi was born in Joshua Tree in Yucca Valley, California, America and he has been acting from the age of 6 years. After completing his studies he also did a course on acting from the New York University.

To start in the Bollywood he has quite an impressive background to share. He has also been featured in American shows like E-mail Surveillance, Arrested Development and Fun Run.

With a good background and experience, he tried his hand in Bollywood and got the role of the most famous and funny character of ‘Chatur’ in the movie ‘3 idiots’. Since then, he has earned lot of name and fame in the Bollywood and his career seems to touch new heights.

Omi further adds, “It feels nice when people recognize your talent. It's a great thing because you work so hard in life. I'm sure all of you work so hard in life but when someone says, 'I read your column and I really liked it.' It brings a lot of joy to you. So in that way, it is extremely gratifying. “

"And now the expectations are riding high on me. This means double the hard work and responsibility as the expectations have doubled from the viewers."

Omi is also very choosy while accepting roles and he adds, “I am very choosy when it comes to projects and offers I get. I just want to do good roles which have some message to them. Good stories with good message draw me to them.”
