Rajat Barmecha, the fresh face of Bollywood has made a successful Bollywood debut with the movie ‘Udaan’. He reflects quite a serious person in the movie, but his real inside story is quite different and he is a totally enthusiastic person. He personally would like to do movies with nice locations and nice clothes.

Rajat came to Mumbai three years back to do a course in jewelry designing, but after a fortnight he left the course. Quite clueless about his career, he opted for modeling and just in 15 days, he got a call for the audition of ‘Udaan’.

Debutant director Vikramaditya Motwani hated Rajat’s auditions, but he just happened to meet him personally and that was the time when Vikram recognized the real talent of Rajat.

Vikram soon arranged an acting workshop for the actor and Rajat adds, “Vikramaditya arranged a seven-day workshop to make me more comfortable with my character Rohan. Also, he gave me a lot of DVDs and books to read. Movies I watched, but books I never touched. I don't like reading at all.”

Talking about his taste and choice for doing movies, he talks very energetically about it and adds, “I was offered two movies, both non-commercials. But I didn't want to take them up. I want to do commercial Bollywood movies at nice locations and with nice clothes, but I know I have just started my career. There is still a long way to go, so I don't want to be choosy about my projects.”

Rajat also adds that he is an enthusiastic and an extrovert kind of person unlike his character in ‘Udaan’ and he quips, “I am not at all introvert like my character. I can talk, talk and talk... I have never lived in a boarding school; neither do I have a strict dad. So I am completely opposite to him (Rohan) and I do not want to be a writer at all as I hardly read.”

Quite a lot for the 21 years old actor, his launch vehicle has really added a lot of fuel to his career and he is sure to shine in the Tinsel Town.
