Ashutosh Gowariker has asserted that he would like to direct a Marathi film but currently he is busy with other movie commitments.The ace director said,"I will love to make a Marathi movie but I am hard pressed for time. Currently, I am busy with my other movie commitments.”
Ashutosh’s upcoming ventures include Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer `Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se`. Gowariker said he was glad to see the progress in Marathi movies.Ashotosh who shot to fame with directorial ventures ‘Lagaan’, ‘Swades’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ has also been an integral part of Marathi cinema.He has acted in many Marathi movies which include ‘Sarkarnama’, ‘Vazir’ and ‘Ek Ratra Mantarleli’.
Ashutosh was speaking on the music launch of Gajindre Ahire directed Marathi movie ‘Sumbaran’.The music for the movie has been given by Rahul Ranade.Recollecting his association with Ranade,an excited Ashutosh said, "My association with Rahul goes back to 1984 when we both had worked in `Holi`. It was because of him and the way the movie has shaped up, that I was compelled to come for this music launch."
A romantic love story ‘Sumbaran’ will be premiered in the Goa international film Fest.
