Alan Cumming and American Pie star Jennifer Coolidge are to star in a quirky new comedy featuring a character called Jessica Simpson.
Acclaimed 24-year-old filmmaker Ash Christian will direct his own script, which revolves around a Texas high school drama student who loses his legs in a freak accident.
Princess Diaries star Heather Matarazzo will play the Jessica Simpson character, according to the source.
A walk-on role in the film is currently being auctioned off on eBay.com. Proceeds will benefit the Human Rights Campaign.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in January (10).
