Amrita Puri is the other hot face of ‘Aisha’ who will be seen acting with Sonam Kapoor in the upcoming release ‘Aisha’. She is portraying the role of 'Shefali Thakur', a behangi with no sense of fashion and glamour but Aisha's guidance turns her hot & happening.
She is the one who makes bad faces in the movie ‘Aisha’ when her eyebrows get shaped.
Amrita does not have any film background and her dad is the head man of the HDFC bank. She has been a model and acted in plays.
She further talks about her plans, “Acting is not considered a long-term career option and there is no security. Dad did have his reservations.”
Amrita from Bombay Scottish School and St. Xavier’s College further adds, “But after completing my post graduation in mass communications with a stint in an ad agency, when I told him that I wanted to follow my dream, my dad said 'If you are hell-bent on it, follow it.' "
She went there and got through, she added, “A friend of mine I had done theatre with, forwarded me a message informing me about the auditions for this particular character. I found it appealing and sent my portfolio photos to the casting agent. After a round of auditions, I was on! This was followed by grooming sessions in voice, diction and dialogue delivery."
'Aisha' will hit the theatres on August 6.
