Volvo Auto India has launched its new compact SUV- Volvo XC60, equipped with latest technology, on Wednesday.
Volvo boasts of the new technology vehicles equipped with D5 twin-turbo diesel engine and hopes the Volvo XC60 version would give it a competitive edge.
“Volvo XC60 is a perfect embodiment of our brand's core attributes of safety, comfort, quality, Scandinavian design and innovation. We are confident that in India, Volvo XC60 will give us a competitive edge in its segment,” Paul de Voijs, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India, said during the launch.
Further, Voijs said that the company has witnessed overwhelming response for its XC60 version. “We have booked more than what one of our competitors has sold so far in the year,” he said adding that the company should import more cars than actually planned.
The Volvo XC60 comes with active bending lights, laser assisted automatic braking, power tailgate and haldex AWD all wheel drive with instant traction besides many other advanced technologies.
The Volvo XC60 model will be available in nine shades with twin-tone interiors. The vehicles come priced at Rs.41.41 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and at Rs.39.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), sources said.
