After Vidya Balan’s outstanding performance as Sabrina Lall in the flick No One Killed Jessica, Vidya is all set to play Silk Smitha in the movie Dirty Picture.

 

Her role in Dirty Picture is completely different from that of what she played in No One Killed Jessica. Starting from her character, makeover and personality everything would be different and Vidya is really good at performing different characters.

 

In No One Killed Jessica she looks like a girl-next-door and an abrupt shift of roles will be seen in Dirty Picture where she plays a sex icon. Her character is based on a true life character of a South actress known as Silk Smitha who had a tragic life and later committed suicide.

 

Vidya is exicited about the flick as she said, “I loved the script and was almost shocked that they (Milan and Balaji) thought of me. I was shocked and thrilled because she is so unlike me. Silk Smitha’s sexuality is on your face. It is almost offensive.”
