The much-awaited Toyota Etios has been priced at around Rs 496,000, the company announced. The Etios model was launched on Wednesday and the company has priced the Etios model beginning from 4.96 lakh. Toyota is also aiming to launch the diesel variant later.
Speaking at the launch, Toyoda admitted that recalls due to quality defects affected the company’s market. “We are listening to our customers more sincerely and more carefully now,” he said.
The Etios 1.5 litre petrol variant gives a mileage of 17.6 km a litre. The car comes priced between Rs. 4.96 lakh to Rs 6.87 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The model was launched after extensive tests of driving the car across 2 lakh kilometers.
The Etios Liva comes in a 1.2 litre engine with capability of producing 80 bhp. The car has small headlights and the front bumper has the fog lamps. The Etios Liva is slated for launch next year, sources said.
