After making visible mark among Indian car customers, rear-engined Tata Nano has come out with new offer for Indian defence officers and personnel below officer rank (PBOR’s). This offer is go till 28th February this year.
 
Through this scheme, Tata Motors is offering free comprehensive maintenance package for 4 years or for 60,000 km (whichever is earlier). This maintenance package, which aims to give the owner a trouble-free experience, will cover normal wear and tear of the car. But this offer will not be including car tyres & batteries.
 
This offer has been made so that one-lakh car sales keep ticking up. They also have other offers like Nano car in exchange for any two-wheeler, zero down payment and 4-year/60,000 km warranty.
 
Tata Nano engine is 624 cc, two-cylinder petrol one producing a peak power of 35 PS at 5,250 rpm and a peak torque of 48 Nm at 3,000 rpm. The company claims this car has got a fuel efficiency of 23.6 km/litre and also that Nano has the lowest CO2 emission among cars in India at 101 gm/km.
 
To move a step higher, Tata Motors is gearing up to launch an upgraded version of Nano automobile which would feature power steering, 5-speed gearbox and which has got adjustable seats.
 
The upcoming diesel car will get launched in September 2011, and has a price tag of around 1.8 -2.2 lakh rupees.
