In a most exciting episode for the first time our neighbouring country Sri Lanka will be hosting the 11th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards along Twenty -Twenty match between Bollywood stars and Asian cricketers during the three-day event.
 
Sri Lanka was selected for the event among the other nations like South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and South Korea. The award function is likely to held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on June from 2nd-4th of first week.
 
Depicting this as a most wonderful opportunity, the Minister of Tourism Achala Jaagoda revealed, "This is a very rare and wonderful opportunity for Sri Lanka. Thanks to the prevailing peace, Sri Lanka has received international recognition.”
 
Moreover, along with the IIFA awards event another international fashion function will be held parallel to it.
