Sony Ericsson has launched its Xperia X8 Android phone in India. This is another smartphone in the Xperia series that is bound to attract the customer.
 
The new Xperia X8 sports a 3-inch capacitive screen with features like a 3.2MP camera with fixed focus, 3.5 mm jack, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1. The set is powered by a 600MHZ processor and runs on Android 1.6 Operating System. However, the company is expected to upgrade the OS to Android 2.1 in due course.
 
The Xperia X8 comes with internal memory of 128MB and offers microSD support upto 16GB. The other features with the set include Stereo FM, GPS, Google Maps, Push email, Instant messaging, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support with Dataviz RoadSync, Picture messaging (MMS) and Predictive text input.
 
The device is priced slightly lower than the other Xperia models like the Xperia X10, the X10 Mini and the Mini PRO.
 
 This Sony handset is available at a price of Rs 13,900 in India.
