The sessions court today put off the hearing of Shiney Ahuja`s bail plea. Shiney was arrested for raping his maid. The bail plea hearing is on July seven since the defence has requested for some time.
The defence lawyer, Shrikant Shivade, requested the court to give him some more time to give a suitable reply to the prosecution and to look into the investigation reports of the police.
Shiney Ahuja was taken into custody by Mumbai police on June 15, the next day his maid complained against him for raping her.
Police officials told that the DNA and medical reports of the victim and Ahuja had corroborated the allegations made by the maid in FIR.
Shiney Ahuja will be kept in judicial custody till July 16 in the Arthur Road jail of central Mumbai.
