The mounting menace in IPL extravaganza has brought all the IPL owners under scrutiny. Actress Shilpa Shetty who is co-owner of IPL team Rajasthan Royal feels the IPL case has been over politicised. The lady in support of IPL chief says Lalit Modi should not be judged guilty until proven so.

Shilpa addressing media-persons said,"I don't want to be rude or curt, I just want to say that it is an IT probe and not a media probe. I think things have been over-politicised.”

"I know that's a word we too conveniently use to get out of a situation, but it is true in this case and in the current scenario," she said.

"I really don't want to say anything, as we just came as investors in the second year and everything seemed perfectly fine and it still is. As far as RR is concerned, Rajasthan Royals board is completely above board and that's what I would like to maintain," she added.

The actress said Lalit Modi is yet to be proven guilty. Shilpa who finds no fault in the rich cash involved in the extravaganza said,"I would also like to say that till you are proven guilty, you are not guilty. You have to appreciate the fact that IPL has brought lots of name and revenue to this country. And I think Lalit Modi has done a great job. If there is something murky and there is proof, then let the law take its course and legal action must be taken but as of now let's not jump the gun.”
