Indian female tennis player, Sania Mirza has moved into the final of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Lexington Challenger with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win over Chinese Yuan Meng.

In Sunday's final of the $50,000 event, second seeded Sania will clash with top seed Julie Coin of France, who dispatched Kai-Chen Chang of Chinese Taipei 6-2, 6-4.

The Indian, who had lost to Meng in their last two meetings, was at her imperious best in the semi-final Saturday, running through the first set without giving any time to her sixth-seeded opponent to settle.

But, Yuan came back strongly in the second set even as Sania lowered her guard to drop the set.

In the decider, Sania broke midway through the set to pull ahead 4-2. However, Yuan fought back to level the set at 4-4. Sania raised the level of her play when it was required to pull off the match, hitting a volley winner on match point.
