After Aamir Khan it is Saif Ali Khan who is up in social activity. May be Padma Shri award has inspired him to take his role as an Indian citizen more responsibly for which he has chosen to become a brand ambassador of WAVE.

 

For the first time he will be branding himself for a social cause and will recently take part in an entertainment event benefitting Women Against Violence and Empowerment (WAVE).

 

WAVE as an organisation deals with violence against women and works for women empowerment to eliminate evil from the society.

 

This event will be telecasted live in a TV channel, where besides Saif  there will be Katrina Kaif and a couple of other stars. The event will takes place in Mumbai on February 20, according to the spokeperson from Carving Dreams (the agency that manages his brand and business interests).

 

As a fine guitarist Saif he will do a solo number for the show. He has often done it earlier in certain shows and recently has played it at Parikrama's concerts.

 

 According to the event’s spokesperson, "Saif is taking a personal interest in the proceedings. He comes for the creative meetings, has discussions on how much and where he can contribute and is putting a lot of effort in to the event. It's not just about going on stage and performing but also how the creative act can be the best possible one. In fact, Saif's involvement helped WAVE begin the journey. Even Katrina Kaif coming aboard has happened after that. Depending on the success of this event, we will decide whether a plan should be carried forth for a multi-city series of events too or not."
