Rima Fakih is the latest name on every American’s lips. Miss Michigan 2010 Rima Fakih has been crowned as the Miss USA 2010 on the grand night of Miss USA pageant on May 16, 2010.
 
Fakih, 23 is a Lebanese Muslim descent and resides in Dearborn, Michigan.
 
Rima Fakih was born in Lebanon and grew up in Queens, New York. Then, there she attended a Catholic school. Her family moved to Dearborn, Michigan, in 2003.
 
The gala event was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The confident Fakih easily made her place in the final round by walking gracefully on the ramp wearing a yellow bikini and gold in the quarterfinal. For her final round, Mss USA donned a strapless white dress that looked like a wedding dress.
 
Kristen Dalton, Miss USA 2009 gave away her crown to Rima Fakih with proud.  
 
Now the young beauty who won the prestigious crown after beating 51 other contestants will represent the United States in Miss Universe 2010 pageant. The Miss Universe 2010 pageant will take place on August 22, 2010 in United States.
 
Fakih has written history after winning the crown as she is the first ever Arab-American to win the title and also the first ever Muslim-American Miss USA.  She is the first Miss Michigan to become Miss USA since Kenya Moore in 1993.
