The dark eyed Bollywood beauty Rani Mukerji will be next seen in Deepa Mehta’s new project. The film is an adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s novel ‘Midnight’s Children’.
Rani who has not been very active in recent times seems to be planning something big. Buzz is that the Rani had a meeting with the filmmaker and author for the upcoming project and reportedly given her consent for the film. However Deepa Mehta denied to reveal any developments.
The film is expected to roll on in September. Shabana Azmi, Seema Biswas and Nandita Das are the other stars who have been reportedly roped in for the movie.
Meanwhile an excited Deepa Mehta is eager to work with Rani .The filmmaker who is much impressed with Rani’s acting skills is not at all bothered with her current low box-office profile .Deepa said, “I saw her work in 'Hey Ram', 'Black', 'Bunty Aur Babli' and 'Veer-Zaara' and loved it. She is among the best talent in India today.”
