Nokia is set to introduce bicycle charger for its select Nokia models mobile phone for the Indian market. The bicycle charger is expected to be launched in late February or early March.
The environment friendly phone is the first-of-its mobile phone to come equipped with such a technology. The technology allows the phone to accept energy by converting kinetic energy to electrical energy.
By peddling for just 20 minutes, the phone can be charged for one hour of talktime or 74 hours of standby time. The pictures so far released, shows the phone, while charging is attached to the handle of the cycle with the help of phone holder.
The Nokia 1202 that supports bicycle charger comes bundled with a charger, bottle dynamo and a phone holder. The complete kit, which is already available in Europe, is priced at Rs. 1,499 in India.
