Records might not say something superb about this 28 year old actor, but Neil Nitin Mukesh takes all in his positive stride. He also never fears failure and says, "I don`t fear failure at all as it is a step towards success. Failure is something that teaches you and helps to keep you grounded".

Neil has done 5 films till now, starting with 2007 crime thriller, Johnny Gaddar. It wasn’t a much well received film across India, but the confidence that it gave him was large. This film earned critical appreciation, and so did Neil.

His further films like, Aa Dekhen Zara, New York, Jail and Lafangey Parindey turned out to be average grossing films at the box office. However, these films never made producers suffer. Neil says, "To be very honest I`m delighted with the fact that with all the films I did, the producers of those did not suffer losses. At least they recovered their costs. Moreover, most of the directors I worked with earlier are approaching me again to be a part of their films, which is very gratifying as an actor".

Neil further adds, “I have given my best always. I have been born and brought up in such an environment where my parents taught me to be neutral. I take everything in a positive stride."

Just like how his forefather did, Neil too paved new roads. He is the grandson of legendary singer Mukesh, and chose to face the camera unlike getting behind a mike. He says, “"When I was growing up, I had a vision of a larger than life films. All those fights, bullet firings and action sequences always excited me. I have grown up watching Amitabh Bachchan`s films like `Sholay` and `Trishul`. These films influenced me a lot", and says "Action is thrilling and where there is thrill, you will always find me".

Next film of Neil is Tera Kya Hoga Johnny which is going be released on December 17. Directed by Sudhir Mishra, Neil will appear as the second lead. In this film, emotions will be a vital factor, and love, greed, hope, betrayal will all also play an essential part. The movie also stars Soha Ali Khan, Kay Kay Menon, Karan Nath in pivotal roles.

Tera Kya Hoga Johnny film which is produced by Tutu Sharma had completed filming in 2008 but the release was delayed for some reasons. It is believed that Neil was not happy with it and was angry at Mishra. However, the actor dismisses the reports and adds, "There`s certainly no issue between the two of us. People just like to talk.”
