Former Spice Girl, Melanie Chisholm was terrified she'd suffer post-natal depression after becoming a mother last year (09) - following a battle with the illness years earlier.

The singer has suffered well-publicized battles with eating disorders and sought treatment for depression back in 2002. When she became pregnant with daughter Scarlett in 2008, she feared the illness would drive a wedge between her and her baby, her first child with partner Thomas Starr.

Chisholm reveals, "(Depression) is something you always worry will come back, and I was concerned that I would be susceptible to post-natal depression. Touch wood, I was fine."
