Versatile actor Mel Gibson is facing legal troubles after his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva claimed that the actor got violent during their confrontation and even knocked her teeth out.
But, the people close to Gibson, 54 have dismissed the claims that he got violent with Oksana during their Jan 6 confrontation; although they admit things did get physical.
Meanwhile, the close friends of the Russian pianist have blamed the actor and his closed ones of protecting his public image.
A source close to Oksana, quoted, "Mel and his camp are spinning the facts in a desperate attempt to protect his reputation."
The Russian musician's friends have also claimed that the Gibson's people are lying when they say she shook the baby. Instead, the sources said, "She tried to protect the baby during one of Gibson's violent episodes when he punched Oksana in the face two times, breaking her teeth and giving her a concussion."
"She tried to protect his reputation, despite her fears of him and his verbal and physical abuse. She regrets having believed in his empty promises to obtain professional help to control his violent nature,” the source added.
Last Monday, Oksana was successful in obtaining the restraining order against Gibson, which prohibits him from coming within 100 yards of her.
Meanwhile, her attorneys denied to comment on the case, but said, "The true facts will be brought out in a court of law. Oksana will continue to abide by the ethical obligations and rules arising from a confidential paternity action and will let the court decide the issue in this matter."
