Manyata’s Item Number To Be In ‘Gangaajal’s Re-Release  Manyata Dutt |
Manyata, a budding starlet in Bollywood suddenly rose to fame with her hush hush marriage to Industry biggie Sanjay Dutt. Manyata also known as Dilnawaz Sheikh was part of Prakash Jha’s ‘Gangaajal’(2003).
Reports say that Jha is all set to re-release technically enhanced version of ‘Gangaajal’ with no cuts.This was the disburbing factor for Dutt well wishers and they have asked Jha to remove the sizzling item number ‘Alhad mast jawani’ in which Sanju’s wife Manyata performed. But to their annoyance, Jha has bluntly rejected the plea saying the re-release will be without any cuts.
Making his stand clear,an adamant Jha said, “It’s true we are re-doing the sound and visuals of ‘Gangaajal’, along with my other films ‘Damul’, ‘Mrityudand’ and ‘Apaharan.’ We’re doing the colour-correction and converting the sound to high-digital quality for blue-ray videos. We aren’t deleting anything from ‘Gangaajal’ or any of the films being restored.”
Jha on Manyata’s item number said, “When she got selected to do the item song she really worked hard on it and made it a memorable number. I remember her as possessing great dignity and a passion to excel. God bless her.”
