This is a musical from one of the acclaimed directors of Bollywood industry, Vipul Shah. Even though the movie carries a plot, which has been something adapted by most of the directors earlier also, Shah seems to have added a ‘magical’ touch to the plots by flaunting this movie as a musical.
People will also get to see Ajay Devgan in a role which he has never been seen before. We have seen Ajay doing comedies, action and romance. In London Dreams, Ajay will be seen essaying a rock singer with negative shades. This movie also starts Salman Khan in the lead role with Asin essaying the role of the female lead.
The movie revolves around the plot of separation and reunion. Arjun and Mannu, essayed by Ajay and Salman respectively, are childhood friends with their relation bound by nothing else but music. Arjun is so passionate about music that he is in search for a chance to fulfil the dreams which his grandfather had. But Mannu, who was least interested in the musical instruments of his father, was happy being a kid at heart.
Both of them never dreamt that they will be coming together only to have catastrophic results…
Arjun runs away from his uncle, only to land in London just to struggle his way to fulfil his dreams. He forms a band with Zoheb, essayed by Rannvijay Singh (of Roadies fame) and Wasim, essayed by Aditya Roy Kapoor plus Priya, a music enthusiast portrayed by Asin.
Let’s come to Mannu. He will be in Punjab where he will be playing in local bands o meet his daily needs. But then Arjun takes Mannu to London, only to realize that he is the greatest obstacle to his dreams.
Mannu gains popularity overnight which had taken Arjun years. He also steals the heart of Asin, with whom Arjun is in love. What follows is an attempt by Arjun to destroy Mannu and how Arjun realizes his mistakes and makes him understand what acceptance really means.
This movie, from the maker of Namastey London and Waqt, is in short a powerful drama with the perfect blend of passion, ambition, envy and realization.
With a wonderful cast, this movie is one of the most expected movies of 2009. With the songs of the movie already doing a great job, let us see if the movie is able to charm the audience!!!!!!!!!!
