Lily Allen has ended her self-imposed ban on Twitter.com - four months after she branded the internet "destructive" and gave up her online habit for good.

The pop star turned off her computer in September (09) and gave away her BlackBerry cell phone over fears she had developed an unhealthy obsession with social networking websites like Twitter and MySpace.com.

But after landing in London following a trip to Australia, Allen returned to her Twitter page on Tuesday (02Feb10) to tease fans with the promise of ‘exciting’ news.

In a series of messages, Allen wrote: "Hello, I'm back. Just got back from Aus (Australia), and I had a wonderful time. Setting up my new office in London, got some really exciting stuff to share with you. So watch this space.

"For now though, I'm off to the gym. Went to India over Xmas, and the clarified butter has made its way from my tummy to my thighs. eeuuggh."

Last year (09), the Smile hitmaker announced plans to take a hiatus from touring and recording after her final shows in London in March (10).
