British actress Kate Winslet has ended her marriage with filmmaker husband Sam Mendes. The couple were married for seven years.
The news of the couple separation came as a shock for many of the people in the movie world as they were considered as the ‘ideal show couple’.
A statement read, "Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year."
The couple have one son, Joe, 6, while Winslet has a daughter, Mia, from her first marriage to film director Jim Threapleton.
According to the sources, the separation is mutual and both of them have agreed for joint parenting of their children.
