Kanye West showed off his charitable side by taking time out to serve a holiday lunch for homeless people on Saturday (26Dec09).

 

The Stronger rapper and his model girlfriend Amber Rose turned up at The Los Angeles Mission, where they volunteered in the kitchen and donned aprons to dish out hot meals to those in need.

 

He says, "It's just important (to give back) when you're very blessed. (It's nice) to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during the holidays to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here and I just thank y'all for allowing us to be a part of this."

 

The Los Angeles Mission is located in the downtown Skid Row district, which contains one of the largest populations of homeless people in the U.S.
