Samantha Burke who had short term relationship with Hollywood actor Jude Law has given birth to his baby on Tuesday. Samantha has named her daughter Sophia.
Sophia, who had been due to arrive on October 6, weighed 5lb 12oz on arrival.
Eileen Koch, the publicist of Miss Burke announced on Thursday, ‘Samantha Burke is overwhelmed with joy at the arrival of her beautiful and healthy baby girl, Sophia. The baby and mum are doing wonderful.'
Sophia is Jude Law's fourth child. He already has three children with ex-wife Sadie Frost. According to sources Jude law has agreed to stand by Samantha Burke and help to raise the child. But, the actor was reportedly absent during the Sophia’s birth. The sources also revealed that Jude law was in US in Broadway production of Hamlet at the time of child birth.
In July, the representative of Jude Law confirmed the news that Samantha Burke is pregnant with the child of Law.
The actor's representative had said, “Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year.”
He added, “Mr Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life.”
