For ICC cricket World Cup 2011, Indian captain MS Dhoni says that cricketers are not that mentally prepared for the tournament. The tightly scheduled time table which Indian team has to follow has come under several beating from the captain.

Dhoni said that there should have been more preparedness for the entire team to be fit.  Even though India can boast of some well-prepared youngsters as of now, much more work needs to done.

Interestingly, India is a hot-contender to lift 2011 World Cup that will start by this Saturday.

Talking about sudden shifts from all three formats - namely Tests, ODI matches and T20’s - Dhoni said that timetable and the team mindset are all ill-equipped.

He says, "The mindset was not really there. Mentally we were not ready, that`s one of the reasons why we couldn`t bat well."

"Of course for the warm-up game mentally it was very difficulty to prepare yourself."

"If you play 35 odd ODIs in a year and 10 test matches and 45 days of IPL and Champions League, then all of a sudden you hear there`s a warm-up game, it`s a very difficult scenario to mentally prepare yourself for the game which really reflected on the field."

India is to play their last warm-up cricket match against team New Zealand on coming Wednesday. Then, they will face Bangladesh in the 1st match of the WC 2011 in Dhaka on19th February.
