Hyundai Motors are testing their new car i45 in India. Even though they tested another car too, all eyes were fixed on seeing how this i45 will be liked in India. This test drive was not that secret as it bore the i45 badge at the back of the car. In real, i45 is the Hyudai Sonata successor in foreign markets.

The i45 trial vehicle has a 2.0L GDI badge at the rear of the car. Most probably Hyundai will go with using this diesel engine on this car which can produce about 210 hp of power at 6,000 rpm. The i45 has 302 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. It will have either a manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

If Hyundai opts out from this, they might employ the 2.2 litre CRDi engine that can produce about 197 bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 420 Nm of maximum torque at 1800-2500 rpm.

The car market in India is very competitive right now and the i45 will have to compete against Nissan Teana, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry cars in India.

Hyundai i45 car will most probably have six airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ABS with BA (Brake Assist) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) as sold in foreign markets. This car will be coming with a touch screen, 6.5 inch WVGA touch screen, bluetooth streaming audio capability and an 8GB of flash memory. This car will also have features like an iPod and USB ports included into this car.
