Govinda and Salman Khan were once known for their healthy friendship in the industry, but now the old times have passed ever since Salman gave a break to Sonakshi in ‘Dabangg’ and not to Govinda’s daughter Naramada.

 

The ‘Dabangg’ success party had many big faces from the Tinsel Town like Aamir Khan, Farah Khan, David Dhawan and Subhash Ghai, but Govinda was not there, either not invited or all on his own.

 

Sources add, “Things soured between them after the awards function in Sri Lanka ended. Govinda had stuck his neck out and gone to Colombo on Salman's invitation, risking the ban on his film Raavan, and inviting the wrath of the film's cast and crew."

Moreover, the only relevant reason which relates to the fact is that Salman had promised Chi-Chi that he would be giving a break to his daughter Narmada in ‘Dabangg’ but in spite of his promises, he gave the break to Sonakshi.

 

But Govinda diplomatically tries to clarify the situation and adds, “I wasn't invited to the Dabangg party. It was a Dabangg party so why should I be invited. Others must have been part of the promotions. Why should I go for that? I will come for Partner 2 party."
