Google is known to customize the search options and now, it has enabled customization of its search engine homepage by which users can add their own photo and wallpaper backgrounds.

This is one of the significant moves that the online giant has taken till now to its search engine user interface. This seems to be a follow up of Microsoft’s Bing that changes everyday to be more visually attractive.

However, many other search engines also customize their search pages to allure the viewers.

Marissa Mayer, Google's Vice President of Search Products and User Experience, wrote in her blog, “Whether you choose a photo of a loved one, a picture of your favorite vacation destination or even a design you created yourself, Google.com is now yours to customize”.

According to Google, the new features will be available to US customers within a few days. They can apply them by clicking on the link on the lower left corner of the screen at Google.com.
