Gateway has unveiled its latest line of compact desktop PCs, the SX and DX in addition to its FHD series of monitors.

Some design innovations of the cabinet include a cable management hook at the back that lets you organize cables coming in and out of the rear of the PC. There is also a grip at the back of the PC that comes in handy when you try to move the cabinet around.

These multimedia computers come with a digital photo frame button that lets users to view a slide show of their pictures. Users can upload their data easily using the incorporated device deck that is recessed at the back.

The SX2800-01 comes with Intel C2Q 8200 processor, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM memory, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500, HDMI port, Intel G43 Express Chipset, Multi-in-one digital media card reader, Windows vista Home Premium 64 bit OS, 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) LAN, eSATA port, VGA port, 9 USB 2.0 ports, HD audio with 6-channel (5.1) audio support, USB powered stereo speakers, 650GB SATA hard drive and SuperMulti Drive featuring Labelflash technology.

The SX series will be available in the US for USD $499 (approximately Rs. 24,000) starting this week.

The DX is the better of the two series, offering the user to select between AMD or Intel Dual- Core or Quad-Core. The PC is excellent for media applications and comes with a Nvidia GeForce graphics card. The CPU comes with 8-channel high definition audio support to give you the theater experience.
The DX4300-03 uses a AMD Phenom X4 9750, ATi Radeon HD 4650 graphics card, AMD RS780 chipset, 8GB DDR2 SDRAM memory, 1TB SATA hard drive, 18x DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Drive featuring Labelflash Technology, Multi-in-one digital media card reader, Windows vista Home Premium, 64-bit OS, 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity, 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) LAN, 8 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, DVI port, High-definition audio with 8-channel (7.1) audio support, USB powered stereo speakers and TV Tuner.

The series of DX systems are priced between USD $749.99 and $899.99 or approximately between Rs. 36,000 and Rs. 43,000.
