Indian actress Freida Pinto best known for her performance as Latika in her debut film Slumdog Millionaire will not be seen in this year’s Cannes International Film Festival. The actress was supposed to attend the function but her movie commitments stopped her from being the part of grand festival.
At the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival which will open on May 12, the beauty was expected to walk the red carpet with the stars of ‘You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger’ which is directed by Woody Allen.
Freida Pinto’s spokesperson announced, "This is to confirm that Freida Pinto unfortunately will not be attending the Cannes film festival as she is shooting for 'Immortals' in Canada. Her film 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger' directed by Woody Allen will be premiering at Cannes.”
‘Immortals’ is directed by Tarsem Singh and is scheduled to release in 2011.
