Freida Pinto is the actress from the ‘Slum Dog Millionaire’, its bad that she still needs an introduction and her acting skills didn’t work for the Bollywood film makers.

 

Freida is 26 years old and she hails from the sea and sand city of Mumbai, yet till now she is not able to become a part of Bollywood. It is perhaps very ironic that even after getting a kick start in her career, she is hardly chased or even approached for anything.

 

She adds, “I have done no film in India, so it is very hard for people to accept me as an actress. They don't really know who I am or they probably don't take me too seriously.”

 

Quite a point, the calculations by Bollywood film-makers can’t be predicted and the factors that determine one’s market value are also random and uncertain.

 

But, she has a lot of Hollywood value and she has acted with many big names like Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas. She has worked in Woody Allen’s ‘You Will Meet A Tall dark Stranger’ and political film ‘Miraj’.

 

She will soon appear in Tarsem Singh's new movie ‘Immortals’, alongside ‘The Wrestler’ star Mickey Rourke , ‘Twilight’ star Kellan Lutz and English actor Henry Cavill.

 

She further adds, “I haven't been directly approached to do a Bollywood film. After Slumdog Millionaire I was given scripts to read but was not directly approached. I don't think I fit the bill I am not famous in India. I don't get chased around.”

 

Well, true, but she has been famous for at least one thing in India and that was affair with ‘Slum Dog Millionaire’ actor Dev Patel, but she has denied any such things. Even Dev has crushed such rumors in relation of having an affair with Freida.
